Every beginning is difficult.
Sometimes you don’t start applying new knowledge from courses or workshops fast enough for it to stick.
Sometimes you can be fairly confident and have everything under control – but it feels reassuring to have a life line. Someone you can call when you are in doubt. Or someone who monitors your professional growth and assists with guidance and counsel along the way.
Quantum is now offering mentoring of employees
Quantum now introduces a brand new type of consulting on the measurement and evaluation market: professional mentoring of communication practitioners. The target demographic are practitioners who already posses a basic measurement & evaluation skill set, but occasionally lack an experienced professional to turn to with questions and doubt concerning communication measurement.
Maybe you have a person on your team who works with measuring the effect of your corporate communication – setting objectives, picking relevant methods of measuring, organising data collection and analysis, evaluating results and extracting insights.
Perhaps measurement and evaluation is not your strong suit, yet as a leader and manager of staff you want to provide your team with the best possible professional support, in order for the person or persons to develop and grow and be able to take on more demanding assignments?
Perhaps you agree that providing a mentor is a better use of your department’s resources than sending your employee off on another 2-day course or e-learning class?
A mentor is different from regular consulting
Operating as a mentor for someone is not the same as stepping in and taking care of their assignments when they are in a tight spot. However, with a mentor on the sidelines you will get:
- Regular, monthly meetings sparring with the mentee. We examine his or her assignments and what sort of challenges the mentee is having difficulties with related to measurement and evaluation of communication, as well as possible solutions.
- The option to draw on professional advice that is only a phone call away when the mentee is facing a professional dilemma or is in need of a second opinion.
- The option to bring in a qualified expert for quality control on larger assignments and projects.
- A tailor-made action plan for the individual mentee, outlining ways to continued professional growth and development.
